3 Simple Steps to Manage your Online Privacy.

Step 1

Type google myactivity on your desktop browser search bar. You should see this screen.

Step 2

Click on the first link.

Step 3

Sign-in to your Google account or if you're already logged, you might see this.

Thats it.

Scroll through and you will see your browsing history that Google has stored.

You would have forgotten, but Google doesn't !

Why does Google store your information ?

Because of this,

In 2019, Google's ad revenue amounted to almost 134.81 billion USD. The company generates advertising revenue through its Google Ads platform, which enables advertisers to display ads, product listings and service offerings across Google's extensive adnetwork (properties, partner sites, and apps) to web users. Yes, those web users are you and me. Many of us, I believe are Freemium users of their wonderful service of finding relevant & useful information.

Not a day goes by without Google not being in our lives in a positive way.

So, don't be surprised when an ad from a site that had your abandoned shopping cart wants you back or a site that had your wishlist items prompting you to complete the purchase or a site that wants you to check them because you had browsed for information matching their offerings some hours or days ago.

Where there is intent, there is Google serving us.

If you are further curious to know "Why you're seeing an ad"and how to control them, here is link from Google

Also, their official link to know more on how to you can control privacy for your android devices could be useful.

Hope this musing was helpful to you.

Until then, Stay Safe!
